Trovero — Privacy Notice and Website Terms
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This notice is not a substitute for full platform Terms of Service, which will be issued when the Trovero platform launches.
1. About this notice
This notice explains how personal information is collected and handled through our website at trovero.ai.
Who is responsible for your data. Trovero is in the process of being founded and is not yet incorporated as a company. The joint data controllers for personal information collected through this site are:
- Simon Bowler, domiciled in Switzerland
- Samuel Burri, domiciled in Switzerland
trading as Trovero (referred to in this notice as "Trovero", "we", "us").
When Trovero is incorporated as Trovero AG, the company will become the data controller and will succeed the joint controllers named above. Your information will continue to be protected on the same terms, and we will let you know of the change.
Contact. No postal address is published at this pre-incorporation stage. All correspondence relating to this notice, including any data-subject requests, should be sent by email to hello@trovero.ai. A registered postal address will be added when Trovero is incorporated.
2. What information we collect
Trovero is in pre-launch. The website presents information about Trovero and offers a short enquiry form where you can tell us whether you're hiring crew, enquiring about becoming a design partner, or a freelancer. We collect:
Information you give us directly through the enquiry form, which may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your job title or role, and the organisation you work for (if you're hiring crew or enquiring as a design partner)
- Your discipline and region (if you're a freelancer)
- Whether you're interested as a hirer, a design partner, or a freelancer
- Anything else you choose to share in free-text fields — for example, what you're crewing for, or a message to the founders
Information collected automatically when you visit the site:
- Basic technical information (IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring site)
- Information stored in cookies — see section 9
We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health or biometric data), and the form is not intended to collect it. Please don't include sensitive information in free-text fields.
3. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We collect the information above for the following purposes:
| Purpose | Legal basis (UK GDPR / Swiss FADP) |
|---|---|
| To respond to your interest registration and contact you about Trovero | Consent, given when you submit the form |
| To send you updates about Trovero, where you've opted in | Consent |
| To understand how the website is being used and improve it | Legitimate interests — running and improving our website |
| To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations | Legal obligation |
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@trovero.ai. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.
4. How we use your information
We use the information you provide only for Trovero's own internal purposes. Specifically:
- To get in touch with you about Trovero — for example, to invite you to a design-partner conversation, share product updates, or answer questions you've asked us
- To understand who is interested in Trovero so we can shape the product
- To maintain internal records of who we've spoken with
We do not, and will not:
- Sell your personal information to anyone, ever
- Share your personal information with other businesses for their own marketing, sales, or research purposes
- Use your information to train third-party AI or machine-learning systems
- Pass your information to advertising networks or data brokers
The only people inside Trovero who can see your information are members of the Trovero team who need to see it to do their job (currently: the founders).
5. Who we share it with
We do not share your information with other businesses for their own use. We do rely on a small number of trusted service providers ("data processors") to run our operations. These providers act on our written instructions, under signed Data Processing Agreements, and are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we set:
- HubSpot, Inc. — customer relationship management; stores form submissions and our notes on conversations with you. When you submit the enquiry form, our server sends the details to HubSpot; no HubSpot script runs on this website and HubSpot sets no cookies on your device. Data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) on HubSpot's EU instance.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — email delivery; sends us a notification containing the details you submitted, so that your enquiry reaches us even if the CRM is unavailable.
- Vercel, Inc. — hosts the trovero.ai website and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless usage analytics; processes basic request data including IP addresses.
- Google LLC (Google Workspace) — email and document management used by the joint controllers; may receive copies of your information through notification emails and downstream correspondence with you.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to (for example, in response to a valid court order) or where strictly necessary to protect our legal rights.
A note on AI tools. We sometimes use AI assistants (such as Anthropic's Claude or Google's Gemini) to help us with general working tasks like writing and research. We do not put your personal information into consumer-grade AI tools. Where we use AI to process information from our interest list, we do so only through enterprise or API services that are governed by a Data Processing Agreement and that contractually exclude using your data to train AI models. If this changes, we will update this notice and let you know.
If Trovero is ever acquired, merges with another business, or sells part of its operations, your information may transfer to the acquiring entity — in which case we will notify you and ensure the same protections continue to apply. The same applies on incorporation: your information will transfer from the joint controllers to Trovero AG.
6. International data transfers
The joint controllers are based in Switzerland. Some of our service providers (HubSpot, Resend, Vercel, Google) are US-headquartered companies. Where personal information is transferred outside Switzerland, the UK, or the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards — typically the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (for UK data subjects), the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework, or equivalent — to ensure your information remains protected.
7. How long we keep it
We keep the information you provide through the interest form for as long as we are in active contact with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you re-engage with us. As a working default, that is 12 months from our last contact with you, after which we will either delete your information or anonymise it.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so — see section 8.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and equivalent laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your information (the "right to erasure"), subject to limited exceptions
- Restrict how we use your information
- Object to us using your information on the basis of legitimate interests
- Port your information to another service in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@trovero.ai. We will respond within one month.
If you believe we are not handling your information properly, you can complain to:
- The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK — ico.org.uk
- The Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland — edoeb.admin.ch
We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first — please reach out to us before escalating.
9. Cookies and analytics
The trovero.ai site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function. These are always on.
The enquiry form sets no cookies. It is submitted to our own server, which passes the details to HubSpot; no HubSpot tracking script runs on this website, so HubSpot sets no cookies on your device and does not track your browsing here.
For website analytics we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless measurement tool. It does not set advertising cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build an advertising profile of you. Because it is cookieless, no cookie-consent banner is required for it. If we introduce any analytics that do require consent, we will update this notice and add a cookie banner before turning it on.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted transmission of data (HTTPS / TLS)
- Access controls limiting who in Trovero can view your information
- Processor contracts requiring our providers to maintain appropriate security
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant authority where required by law.
11. Children
The Trovero website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Material changes — for example, changes to how we use your information — will be flagged on the site and, where you've registered interest, communicated to you directly.
13. Website terms of use
By using the trovero.ai website, you agree to the following:
- The website is provided for general information about Trovero and our pre-launch activities.
- Content on the site is provided in good faith but may change without notice. We don't guarantee that the site or any specific feature will be available, accurate, or error-free at any given time.
- You may not use the site to do anything unlawful, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or interfere with its operation.
- All trade marks, logos, and content on the site (including the Trovero name and wordmark) are owned by the joint controllers (and, on incorporation, by Trovero AG) or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission, except where fair use or equivalent applies under the law.
- Nothing on the site constitutes an offer to enter into a contract, a commitment of service, or financial, legal, or commercial advice.
- These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and the courts of Zürich have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
If you have any questions about these terms, contact hello@trovero.ai.
End of notice.
